What root user you are talking about? Why ACLs has anything to do with this? I just want to set the executable bit for scripts that already have proper shebangs.

Yes, I think it is a bug. The `salo` value is at 86 and does not change during the referred sequence of the events. And the cheat menu link does something wrong for sure.
